What are you passionate about?
Developing strong relationships with people; solving problems; thinking both “inside” and “outside” of the box; and learning through a continuous process of up-skilling.
What makes a good lawyer?
A good lawyer must be a good listener, they must also be technically adept, clear, concise, persuasive, understanding, pragmatic and socially adaptable. In addition they must be trustworthy.
I am widely travelled with a sound understanding of people, places and cultures. Family ties in Hong Kong and Singapore have ensured I have a good appreciation of the wide range of Asian attitudes and cultures, balanced by a more European point of view arising from substantial periods in Germany and Europe.
Why did you choose to be a lawyer?
The wish and ability to apply legal knowledge, develop strong long relationships with clients, being proactive to client feedback and the opportunity to simply help, consistently reinforce that being a lawyer was the right choice for me.
A passion for the art of advocacy, negotiation and dispute resolution.
What would your clients say about you?
Evatt prides himself on developing a strong rapport which quickly pinpoints client wishes and expectations. He endeavours to provide clear and concise practical advice.
